After PM, Britons voted for national bird
London, May 8:
An online poll to choose Britain's national bird was conducted and 213,000 people participated in the voting.
Barn Owl, Black Bird, Blue Tit, Hen Harrier, Kingfisher, Mute Swan, Puffin, Red Kite, Robin, Wren have been voted as top 10 finalists.
These 10 birds have been nominated from an original list of 60 iconic British birds that were voted on last year.
According to media reports, the result is expected to be announced in June. The Robin was voted Britain's favourite bird in 1960s.
