Bangladeshi woman gouges her lover's heart out, gets death sentence
Dhaka, March 30: A woman in Bangladesh was on Monday, March 28, given death sentence for gouging her lover's heart out.
According to media reports, 21-year-old Fatema Akhter Sonali committed bone-chilling crime to see how big her lover's heart was, as he was allegedly involved in sexual relations with other women and he had refused to marry her.

Sonali found various videos of his 28-year-old lover, Emdadul Haq Shipon, a part-time lift attendant at a hospital, having intercourse with other women.
The shocking incident took place in southwestern city of Khulna in March 2014.
Sonali's confession in the packed courtroom left everyone shocked. She revealed how she planned the murder of Shipon.
She said that she spiked a soft drink with 20 sleeping pills and gave it to Shipon. When he fell unconscious, she bound his hands and feet before killing him by slitting his throat. Sonali then cut open his chest and removed his heart.
The judge pronounced the verdict on Monday. Sonali will be the first woman in Bangladesh to be hanged. However, she can also appeal to higher court, challenging her death penalty.
