9 shot, 1 killed at US housing complex

Bridgeport (US), Jun 11: Nine people have been shot at a housing complex in Connecticut, including one who was killed and another who was struck while taking a bath when a bullet pierced the wall of her apartment.

Police say shots were fired in a parking lot at the Trumbull Gardens Apartment Complex in Bridgeport where a group had gathered at about 1 am (local time) today.

Six men and three women were taken to local hospitals. Authorities say a man in his 40s has died.

They say an elderly woman was shot in the back while she was in the bath inside her apartment.

Police say they believe multiple shooters and weapons were involved and that they have leads on suspects, but they are not releasing information on them yet.
