9/11 anniversary: Nature pays beautiful tribute as rainbow appears at World Trade Centre

New York, Sept 11: A beautiful rainbow appeared at the iconic World Trade Centre shattered by the terrorists on September 11, 2001.

The rainbow appeared a day before when US was gearing to observe the 14th anniversary to mark the deadliest terror attack on its soil.

Photos showing a rainbow appearing to originate from the World Trade Centre on the eve of 9/11 attacks are being shared on social networking sites.

Friday marks the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, which claimed lives 2,977 people at the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon in Washington D.C. and Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where United Airlines Flight 93 crashed after passengers seized control of the plane from hijackers.

The attack carried out by Al-Qaeda on September 11, 2001 is considered as a black day that shook the whole world.
