Finally, 38-year-old Shoaib Akhtar's 'secret' nikaah with 20-year-old girl!

38-year-old Shoaib got married secretly in a low profile 'nikaah' ceremony with Rubab, the lady love of his life, hailing from Haripur area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan.
Sans any media glare and high profile guests, the wedding took place in front of the bride and groom's parents and close relatives.
It is said that Rubab has three older brothers and a younger sister.
On Wednesday, Pakistani TV channel Duniya had reported that Akhtar married Rubab in a quiet Nikaah ceremony in Haripur.
"The haq mahar has been kept at half a million rupees and Akhtar's parents attended the simple nikah ceremony," the report said.
A source close to Akhtar confirmed that the fast bowler and his family had visited the girl's residence on June 12 where both families agreed on the wedding date.
Initially, Akhtar had denied reports that he was getting married to a girl chosen by his parents.
Shoaib, the fastest bowler had refuted media reports via microblogging site Twitter saying, "I would like to confirm that I'm not getting married to 17-year-old girl,there is absolutely no truth in the story being reported. If not me, atleast respect the girl! Totally False."
