3.6 quake strikes Los Angeles county
Carson: A 3.6 magnitude earthquake shook Southern California just after 7 am Thursday, April 30.
According to the U.S. Geological survey, the quake struck two miles east-northeast of Carson, four miles south-southwest of Compton and four miles southeast of Gardena.
Tremors were also felt in Compton, Lakewood, Brentwood, South Los Angeles, the Crenshaw District, downtown Los Angeles, Hawthorne, Whittier, Norwalk, Long Beach, South Gate and Boyle Heights.
The Metro said all rail lines experienced minor delays as officials inspected the tracks and equipment. Service resumed to normal at 7:25 a.m.
There were no reports of damages or injuries.
