With more than 500 community organizations from 40 states joining as "Welcome Partners," the excitement is palpable. Ganesh Ramakrishnan, one of the key organizers, expressed his admiration for the overwhelming support: "The sheer volume of people working together to make this event a success is really impressive."
The cultural spectacle, organized around two stages, will feature nearly 400 artists, including notable performers such as Grammy nominee Chandrika Tandon, Indian singing sensation Aishwarya Majumdar, and social media favourite Ricky Pond. Sai Sagar Patnaik, Director of the cultural show, emphasized the diversity of performances, representing India's rich heritage from classical dance to fusion music, as reported by Hindustan Times.
Additionally, over 100 performers will participate in community-led acts on the outer stage. More than 350 volunteers from 14 states are working to ensure the success of this event, and 150 media professionals representing over 85 outlets will cover it, as per the media report.
Harry Singh, co-chair of the Reception Committee, described the event as an inspiring celebration of Indian culture and the contributions of the Indian-American community. He added, "It's an opportunity to not only share our heritage but also strengthen bonds between our home and the country of origin while fostering a brighter future for all."
Prime Minister Modi's three-day visit to the U.S. will include the Quad Leaders' Summit and high-level discussions at the United Nations.
