2 people injured in a shooting incident at California Gurudwara; hate crime ruled out
Two people were injured in a shooting at a Gurudwara in Sacramento County, California on Monday. However, Police ruled out any hate crime and said that it was a shootout between two men who knew each other.
As per the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, the shooting is not related to a hate crime, it is a shootout between two men who knew each other.

"Two people shot at a Gurudwara in Sacramento County, California. Both of the victims are in critical condition. According to the Sacramento County Department of Transportation, the Sacramento Sikh Society was hosting a Nagar Kirtan Parade that closed roads in the area from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Earlier on August 25, 2022, two gunmen had opened fire during a morning prayer service, killing two people and injuring several others at a gurdwara in California.
The shooting was immediately condemned by leaders from all communities, including political leaders, religious leaders, and civil rights activists. The Sikh community in California and across the United States expressed shock and grief over the attack.
In the aftermath of the shooting, there have been calls for increased security at gurdwaras and other places of worship, as well as for greater efforts to combat hate and bigotry in our society.
The Sikh community has also emphasized the need for increased awareness and education about Sikhism and Sikh values, in order to promote greater understanding and tolerance.
