19 killed as Iranian warship hit by ‘Friendly fire missile’

New Delhi, May 11: An Iranian warship was hit by a friendly fire missile during naval exercises, killing 19 sailors, amid tensions with the US, AFP reported on Monday, citing the state media and the army.

"The vessel was hit after moving a practice target to its destination and not creating enough distance between itself and the target," the state television was quoted by AFP as saying.
