16 people injured in shooting at US park

Washington, Nov 23: At least 16 people were injured in a shooting incident at a park in New Orleans city of the US, police said.

Officers on Sunday night were on their way to break up a big crowd at Bunny Friend park in the city when gunfire erupted, the Guardian quoted police spokesman Tyler Gamble as saying.

Sixteen people were taken to hospital, he said.

It was not clear how serious the injuries were, or what started the shooting.
