Lok Sabha passed 205 bills in five years
New Delhi, Feb 14: The 16th Lok Sabha passed 203 bills out of 219 introduced, including one on curbing black money. About 219 Bills were introduced and 203 Bills were passed. With introducing 203 bills it has evidenced some of the major changes and additions in the constitution of India.
At its last sitting, the 16th Lok Sabha passed the Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes Bill, 2018 and the Jalianwala Bagh National Memorial (Amendment) Bill, 2018. The Rajya Sabha was adjourned sine die after it passed Bills, including the Interim Budget and Finance Bill for 2019-20 without debate. The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 and Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2018 aka triple talaq Bill were not taken up.
