2014 Lok Sabha elections: Vote share vs seat share

New Delhi, Feb 1: Simple logic says that more the number of votes more will a party win seats. Well, it is true to an extent, but the relationship between vote share and seat share is not as linear as it may seem. In 2014 general elections, the party with highest vote share, BJP, did bag most seats and formed the government, but the interesting fact to note is that the party with third highest vote share, BSP, did not win a single seat.
