Zero corruption is impossible in a country like India, says Goa BJP leader
Panaji, Dec 15: Zero tolerance to corruption does not mean ending corruption totally, Goa state BJP vice president Wilfred Mesquita said on Monday.

He made the observation when asked about recent remarks by Director General of Police TN Mohan that corruption has reached "unacceptable levels" in the police department.
Mesquita also said that the BJP's pre-poll promise of "zero tolerance to corruption" did not mean delivery of "zero corruption".
"Zero tolerance to corruption is not to tolerate corruption. Zero tolerance to corruption does not mean to make corruption zero," Mesquita said.
The BJP came to power in 2012 riding on an anti-incumbency wave against the then Congress government.
