YouTuber Lakhan, Neetu Allege Cook Spat While Preparing Food; Family Says They Fell Ill

Content creator and cricketer Lakhan Arjun Rawat has alleged that a cook working at his home was caught "spitting" while preparing food for the family - a claim that surfaced after several members reportedly fell ill over the past few days.

The allegation emerged after the family reviewed CCTV footage to understand the cause behind their recurring health issues. According to them, the footage shows the cook spitting into the sink while working in the kitchen, raising concerns that droplets may have contaminated the food.

Clips of the CCTV footage and the family confronting the cook have since gone viral on social media, triggering widespread reactions.

In one of the viral videos, Rawat's wife, Neetu Bisht, is seen recounting how she spent nearly 10 minutes scanning the CCTV footage.

"When I saw it, I was shocked. How can someone spit in the sink?" she says in the clip.

The video then cuts to the family confronting the cook, whose face has been blurred. Neetu alleges that the man repeatedly spat while cooking and claimed that despite being asked to wear a mask - especially as he consumed gutkha - he often kept it below his mouth.

Family Links Illness To 'Unhygienic Practices'

Rawat's mother, visibly upset in the video, questions the possible extent of contamination.

"How much of that spit must have fallen on the rotis and vegetables we ate?" she asks.

She further claims that multiple family members have been unwell, with fever and prolonged symptoms.

"We have all been falling sick repeatedly... we are not recovering at all," she says, alleging that the cook may have been preparing food in unhygienic conditions for several days.

"So for how many days has he been feeding us this unhygienic food?" she adds.

The family also raised concerns over their daily rituals, stating that food prepared at home is first offered to God before consumption.

"Because of him, we are unknowingly disrespecting God," Rawat's mother says in the video.

Reacting to the incident, Rawat's sister shared a post expressing disbelief. "Whom do you even trust anymore?" she wrote, calling the alleged act "disgusting" and a "complete breach of trust."

Rawat responded to her post, saying he was still trying to process what had happened.

As the videos gained traction online, reactions poured in - ranging from shock and anger to scepticism.

While some users called the act "disgusting" and demanded strict action, others questioned why no police complaint had been filed if the allegations were serious.

A section of users also expressed concern over hygiene practices in domestic kitchens, while a few remained unconvinced, suggesting the incident could be amplified for attention on social media.

For now, it remains unclear whether any formal complaint has been lodged, even as the videos continue to circulate widely online.
