Youth booked under PSA in Doda

Jammu, Aug 17: A youth was today arrested under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) in connection with unrest in Doda district here, police said.

Rehmatullah was held under PSA by the district authorities in connection with a protest held in the district, they said.

More than 60 people including civilians and security personnel have been killed in the cycle of violence while over 2,000 others including civilians and security personnel have been injured since the violence erupted in Kashmir Valley after killing of Hizbul terrorist Burhan Wani.

Wani was killed along with two other terrorists on July 8 in an encounter at Bumdoora village of Kokernag in Jammu and Kashmir by a joint team of police and Army.
