Youngest Assam woman administrative officer unfurls Tricolour on R-Day

Guwahati, Jan 28: This Republic Day, Saptati Endow of Assam Civil Service became the youngest officer to hoist the Tricolour.

Ms Endow, an officer of the 2015 batch and on probation, has been serving as the sub divisional officer (civil) of Bhergaon in Udalguri district of Assam as no other senior ACS or IAS officer have been posted there. She joined as an assistant commissioner last October.

The officer, who hails from Silchar in Assam, was escorted Sub Divisional Police Officer Nirupam Hazarika before unfurling the Tricolour in presence of nearly 2,000 people.

She also addressed the audience on the occasion which saw felicitation of some sportspersons.
