You do not have to tell IGIMS, Bihar if you are virgin or not

On Wednesday the health minister of Bihar Mangal Pandey was caught off guard.

The Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences has removed the word 'virgin,' from its marital form. The decision was taken after a furore was created over the issue.

The form had created a controversy as it had asked applicant to write whether they were a virgin or not.

The authorities had said that this was an error due to poor translation of the marital declaration form. The form mandated that the person filling it declare whether he is a bachelor, widower or virgin. It also asked the person to state if he has more than one wife.

On Wednesday the health minister of Bihar Mangal Pandey was caught off guard when reporters asked him about the same. He said that it was the zodiac sign of the employee that had to be mentioned and there was nothing more to it.
