Yogi Adityanath Criticises Rahul Gandhi for 'Naach Gaana' Remarks on Ram Temple Ceremony

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his remarks about the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya. Adityanath stated that Gandhi's comments reflect what his family has done throughout their lives. He emphasised the significance of the 500-year wait for the Ram temple, which culminated in the consecration of Ram Lalla's idol this year.

Adityanath Slams Gandhi Over Temple Comments

The BJP leader addressed rallies in Hisar and Panchkula districts ahead of the Haryana assembly elections on October 5. He highlighted the sacrifices made by thousands of Hindus to see a grand temple built in Ayodhya. According to Adityanath, the entire country and world are overjoyed with this achievement, contrasting it with what he described as the Congress's disdain.

Adityanath's Criticism of Congress

Adityanath drew a distinction between those who embrace Lord Ram's culture and those who follow Roman culture. He questioned how those who consider themselves "accidental Hindus" could tolerate such a significant event. "Ve kehte hain Ayodhya mein jab Ram Lalla ke mandir ka udghatan ho raha tha tab wahaan pe naach gana chal raha tha. Arey zindagi bhar toh yahi tumahara khandan karta raha hai," he said, implying that Gandhi's family has always engaged in such activities.

The BJP has also condemned Gandhi's comments, suggesting they reveal the Gandhi family's true nature and disdain for Hinduism. A video clip of Gandhi went viral on social media, where he mentioned that prominent figures like Amitabh Bachchan, Ambani, and Adani were invited to the temple ceremony, but not poor people, labourers, or farmers.

Political Reactions and Upcoming Elections

Gandhi's remarks about "naach-gana" or dancing-singing at the ceremony were made during a poll rally in Barwala, Haryana. He attributed BJP's loss of the Ayodhya Lok Sabha seat to Samajwadi Party's Awadhesh Singh to such actions. Meanwhile, Haryana is set to vote on October 5, with vote counting scheduled for October 8.

Adityanath expressed confidence that BJP would secure a third consecutive term in Haryana. He assured that development projects would gain momentum under the double-engine government if they return to power.

Congress has been accused of denying Lord Ram and Lord Krishna's existence and opposing land allocation for them while favouring the Waqf Board. This ongoing political battle highlights deep-rooted differences between BJP and Congress regarding cultural and religious issues.
