The Chief Minister urged Hockey India officials to prepare a world-class hockey team for the country. He insisted on providing top-notch facilities to players and fostering a sense of belonging among them. "The best facilities should be provided to the players. We have to create a sense of belongingness in the minds of the players," he added.
State Government's Support
Adityanath assured that the state government is committed to supporting Hockey India's efforts to encourage players. He suggested collaboration between Hockey India and the state's sports department to explore building hockey stadiums in various districts. According to him, "The Hockey India should work with the state's sports department on the possibilities of building hockey stadiums in various districts."
He also mentioned that hockey holds a special place in India's heart as its national game. "Hockey is the national game of India. Therefore, every Indian has an affinity towards hockey and a sense of respect for hockey players and people associated with Hockey India," he stated.
