Don't lose hope! Yet another chance to avail your dream home in national capital

New Delhi, Jan 3: Those who didn't get flats in the lucky draw 2014 DDA scheme, soon they all will get opportunity to have their dream home in the national capital. Reports say that Delhi Development Authority in December 2016 will bring out yet another Housing draw which would include at least 40,000 flats.

The Housing board already has started the construction of flats in different localities like Dwarka and Rohini in the city. Report says that ultra modern flats will be far cheaper than the market rates.

Top DDA officials said while about 40,000 flats would be ready by year-end, remaining would be completed next year.
"Currently, over 45,000 flats are under construction and over 16,000 flats are at planning stage.

About 40,000 flats would be completed by mid-December, out of which 24,660 would be LIG. Rest would be completed in 2017," DDA vice-chairman Balvinder Kumar said on Friday.

DDA is currently handing over the flats to successful applicants of its 'Housing Scheme 2014'.
Mr Kumar said the flats in the new schemes would be built with modern and green technology.

"Our last scheme had mostly small one-bed room flats but this time we have LIG flats, which are bigger. And, the flats would be built using pre-fab, green and modern technology. They would be located in the same Dwarka, Rohini region as in the last scheme," he said during a media briefing.

The 'DDA Housing Scheme 2014', launched on September 1, offered 25,034 flats - EWS, LIG, MIG, HIG, Janta flats and one-room apartments, ranging in prices from Rs 7 lakh to Rs 1. 2 crore, and closed on October 15.

Among them, the 22,627 one-bed room apartments were a major draw for the people.
Billed as the largest-ever in DDA's history, the scheme had received a whopping over 10 lakh applications.
