Yet another ceasefire violation reported in J&K

Srinagar, Dec 8: Yet another ceasefire violation has been reported in Balakote sector at Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir, said sources.

Pakistan troops resorted to unprovoked firing at around 8 pm using small arms. No causality has been reported so far.

"Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing in Balakote sector of the LoC at our positions at 8 p.m. using small arms," defence ministry spokesman Colonel Manish Mehta told IANS.

He said Indian soldiers "responded with same calibre weapons".

The exchange of fire continued till 8.10 p.m.

There was no casualty on the Indian side, he said. More details awaited.
