Yemen girl cries stones; Docs, villagers shocked

Yeman, Feb 6: A little Yemeni

has been crying stones instead of tears, which has shocked doctors all over the world. The incident has panicked superstitious villagers who think she is possessed by devil.

Saadiya Saleh, 12, produces little hard stones under her eyelids, which has gripped the villagers with the fear that she is possessed by the devil's magic, the Mirror reported.

Doctors said they couldn't give an explanation for this phenomenon since the 12-year-old girl isn't suffering from any known disease.

A YouTube film aired by Yemen's Azal satellite TV channel showed doctors gathering a small box full of stones that dropped out of the girl's eyes in just a few hours.

According to a local news channel, "This case in the second strange phenomenon in the region. The case has triggered panic in the area where this girl lives... Some say the girl could be gripped by a magic spell while others say it might be the devil... Others fear it could be the start of a dangerous epidemic."
