YEIDA plans educational hub along Yamuna Expressway

The Yamuna Expressway Authority has plans to come up with an education hub on the lines of Rajasthan's Kota.

The authorities have plans to launch a scheme for coaching centres in Sector 13 where the plots will be allotted to the institutional category.

"We have been working on a plan to create an education hub in the region on the lines of Kota. The idea is to bring all training institutes and coaching centres in one place. It will also help in populating the region. People like to live where you have good provisions of health and education facilities," The Times of India quoted YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh as saying.

It has to be noted that the authorities have allotted land parcels to several prominent educational institutions such as Narsi Monjee, JBM University and Galgotias University in the Yamuna Expressway area.

The YEIDA now aims to develop an education hub in the region. The plan is to offer 2,000 sqm to 4,000 sqm to educational institutions. Apart from engineering. management and other schools, students can find coaching centres in the region that helps to build a complete education ecosystem.

The report claims that Narsee Monjee will begin admission for courses in 2024.

The development along the 165-km Yamuna Expressway is happening at an unprecedented pace. In the last five years, YEIDA has received investments to the tune of Rs 16,678 crore, thereby creating a huge demand for commercial and residential plots.

As a result, the prices of land in the vicinity are going up. The development of the Noida airport has already led to an increase in real estate activities in the surrounding areas.
