Yaduveer Wadiyar appreciates actor Upendra's political venture
Upendra's KPJP is planning to field candidates in all the 224 constituencies in next assembly elections.
The titular head of Mysuru royal family, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, has welcomed film actor Upendra's political venture. Yaduveer Wadiyar appreciated the Karnataka Prajnavantha Janata Party saying that "Such an independent political party was necessary for the State at this juncture."
Yaduveer told media persons that it is good that Upendra is joining politics. "I wish him in his venture," Yaduveer said.
He said, "Actor Upendra is starting a political party with new and innovative thoughts. I appreciate his decision to start an independent political outfit."
When reporters asked whether he would come to politics, Yaduveer replied that "I do not have any such plans but will see in future," reports Suvarna News. Political experts are wondering whether these statements of Yaduveer indicate his new 'leanings'?
Last month, Sandalwood star Upendra launched a new political party 'Karnataka Prajnavant Janata Party' (KPJP) and announced 'auto' as the logo of the party at Gandhi Bhavan in Bengaluru.
Upendra's KPJP is planning to field candidates in all the 224 constituencies in next assembly elections.
