Worker dies in a fire accident at Shasun Cuddalore unit
New Delhi, Nov 17: Drug firm Shasun Pharmaceuticals has said one worker died and another got injured in a fire accident yesterday at its Cuddalore facility in Tamil Nadu.
There was a fire accident at new production block during trial and commissioning in Cuddalore API facility around 2330 hrs on November 16, the company said in a BSE filing.

"We regret to inform the sad demise of one worker in the accident. One more injured employee has been admitted in the hospital for treatment," it added.
The company informed the government authorities about the same and is investigating the root cause of the accident.
The damage on account of fire is being assessed for which the firm has adequate insurance cover, it said.
"However there will not be any significant loss of revenue or production due to the above accident," it added.
