“Worked for Bihar, Not Family”: Nitish Kumar’s Video Message Before Polls

In a video message released on Saturday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar addressed the people of Bihar ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. He emphasised his dedication to serving the state with "honesty and hard work" since his initial election in 2005. Kumar reflected on the past, stating that being from Bihar was once considered an "insult" when he first assumed office.

Over the years, Kumar's leadership has focused on improving various sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and agriculture. He highlighted these achievements while urging citizens to support the NDA candidates in the forthcoming elections. The JD(U) leader expressed pride in transforming Bihar into a state of "respect" rather than "insult."

Empowering Women and Social Development

Nitish Kumar noted significant strides in empowering women across Bihar. He criticised previous administrations for neglecting women's issues and stated that his government has made women self-reliant. This empowerment allows them to manage their families independently. Additionally, Kumar mentioned efforts to uplift all societal classes from the beginning of his tenure.

The Chief Minister assured that his administration has worked for every community, including Hindus, Muslims, upper castes, backward classes, Dalits, and Mahadalits. He stressed that his focus has always been on public welfare rather than personal or familial gains.

Future Vision for Bihar

As he seeks another term, Kumar promised further development initiatives aimed at propelling Bihar among India's top states. He urged voters to grant him another opportunity to continue this progress. The assembly elections are scheduled in two phases on November 6 and 11, with results expected on November 14.

Nitish Kumar's JD(U) is part of the ruling BJP-led NDA coalition in Bihar. His appeal to voters comes as he aims for continued governance alongside this alliance. The Chief Minister's message underscores a commitment to ongoing growth and prosperity for all Biharis.
