Srinagar, Oct 28: A woman was shot and killed by unknown gunmen in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Friday evening, police said.

"Unknown gunmen fired upon a woman identified as Bebee, wife of Muhammad Yousuf Matoo, in Naiana Batpora village of Pulwama district outside her residence today (Friday) evening. She succumbed at the hospital," police said here.

Police said unknown persons also torched a school in Dooru area of Anantnag district on Friday evening.

"In another incident, the vehicle of a ruling PDP activist was torched by miscreants in Chinkral Mohalla (Habba Kadal) locality of Srinagar city," an official said.
