The victim, said to be around 19-20 years old, had to be administered four units of blood as she underwent two surgeries at Malda Medical College and Hospital.
In a gut wrenching incident, a woman's intestine was severely damaged after two men raped her and inserted a metal object in her private parts, said reports.
The woman was found lying under a bridge in south Dinajpur for hours before a passerby noticed her on Sunday and took her to the hospital. The victim, said to be around 19-20 years old, had to be administered four units of blood as she underwent two surgeries at Malda Medical College and Hospital.

The woman, a Dehaband resident, was allegedly attacked on February 17 when she was returning from a Shivratri fair, said a Hindustan Times report.
Dhamu Soren, the passerby who noticed the victim lying unconcious, said that that the woman stirred when he sprinkled water on her face.
"I noticed her intestine was coming out from her private parts," said Soren in his police complaint.
The accused duo has been arrested, the police said.
Demanding strict punishment for the culprits, woman activist Chirashree Dasgupta said that the victim is an orphan and women groups would provide "her with all necessary support".
The hospital, where she is being treated, said that the victim is responding to the treatment well.
