Allegations of Negligence as Woman and Newborn Die During C-Section Surgery
A woman and her newborn passed away on Saturday following a cesarean surgery at a private hospital. The procedure was allegedly conducted without the husband's consent, leading to unrest among the deceased's family, according to police reports. Yashoda, aged 35 and married to Santram Pasi, was admitted to the hospital when she began experiencing labour pains.

Santram accused the doctors of sending him to procure blood while they proceeded with the surgery without his approval. He claimed that both his wife and child died during the operation. However, the doctors did not disclose this information and instead referred her to another hospital, citing her critical condition.
Family's Allegations and Police Involvement
In a complaint filed with the police, the family stated that they discovered both Yashoda and her newborn were deceased when they attempted to move her into an ambulance. Dheeraj Kumar, Station House Officer of Baldirai police station, confirmed these allegations. The situation escalated at the hospital, causing chaos as family members expressed their distress.
During the commotion, both the hospital owner and the attending doctor reportedly fled the scene. The police have since sent the bodies for post-mortem examination and initiated legal proceedings regarding the incident. This tragic event has raised concerns about medical practices and patient consent in emergency situations.
