Woman Naxal surrenders in Telangana

Warangal (Telangana), Apr 1: A woman Naxal carrying a Rs 5 lakh reward on her head today surrendered before police here.

Nimmala Saramma alias Jyothi alias Sharada, who operated in Chhattisgarh's Bastar district, was a member of the Maoist's regional committee and worked under Dandakaranya special zone, police said.

Her husband Muppidi Sambaiah alias Jangu is member of Baragd division committee of Maoists in Odisha. She was active since 1995 and was involved in many cases of violence including a murder of a sub-inspector and attack on CRPF men in Bhoopalapatnam in 2009, police said.
