Uttar Pradesh: Woman killed over dowry by husband and in-laws

Bhadohi (UP), Feb 5: A married woman was allegedly killed by her husband and in-laws over dowry in Suryawa area here, police said today.

Shashi Pandey (23) was allegedly beaten and strangulated to death by her husband Deendayal Pandey and in-laws yesterday over dowry, they said.

Later, the family members left the body at home and fled. The matter came to light when her children started crying and neighbours arrived on the spot and informed the police.

An FIR has been registered in this regard by victim's uncle and the accused husband and three other family members were arrested by the police.
