Woman gangraped by 3 in UP

Baghpat, Jul 22: A 32-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped by three youths of her village in Kotwali Badaut police station area here, police said today.

The woman and her brother-in-law were returning to their village last evening when five men stopped them near Jalalpur, they said.

While two held her brother-in-law at gunpoint for opposing, three others took the woman to a nearby field and raped her, police said. The accused fled after threatening the woman of dire consequences if she reported the incident, they said.

Police said that an FIR has been registered based on the woman's complaint and she has been sent for medical examination. On September 20 last year, the accused men had lodged a rape case against the woman's husband, they said.
