Woman dies in mysterious circumstances, family alleges dowry

Faridabad, Jan 14: A woman has died here under mysterious circumstances though her family alleged that she was killed by her in-laws for dowry, police said today.

In a police complaint, the woman's brother alleged that her sister's husband, Sahil Arora, and his relatives harassed and inflicted physical abuse on her for dowry.

He said her in-laws yesterday informed them of her death, saying that she committed suicide. Police have registered a case of dowry death and a probe is on in the matter.
