Woman delivers baby in cab; named after cab service Uber

New Delhi, Dec 13: Babli delivered a baby in Uber cab. In an unusual occurrence in the time of advanced medical technology, a woman, Babli gave birth to a baby in the cab in the national capital on Saturday, Dec 12.

Babli on her way to the hospital in the Uber cab, encountered labor pain in the taxi. The driver, however advised the lady to hire an ambulance after the expecting mother informed the driver about severe labor pain.

Time waits for none. The driver, Shahnawaz halted the car to book an ambulance but the time ran out as baby started crying in the car. She delivered a baby in the car itself. The lady was moving to hospital with her relative.

Overwhelmed by the driver's concern towards Babli and her plight, she asked the driver to name the new born baby. Shahnawaz, sublimely named the baby after his company, 'Uber'.
