Woman Removed While Attempting to Meet PM Modi at Hazaribagh Rally for Her Demands

A woman attempted to approach Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his rally in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, to present her demands. However, security personnel and BJP volunteers intervened and removed her from the scene, according to police reports. The incident took place while Modi was speaking at the conclusion of the saffron party's 'Parivartan Yatra' at Gandhi Maidan.

Woman Removed at PM Modis Hazaribagh Rally

In a video that circulated widely, the woman was seen standing on a box near the stage, trying to wrap her dupatta around her neck. BJP volunteers and security personnel quickly brought her down. During this commotion, the Prime Minister's speech could still be heard in the background of the video clip.

Security Measures at the Rally

Superintendent of Police Arvind Kumar Singh stated that the woman intended to personally hand over a memorandum to the Prime Minister. However, security protocols prevented her from doing so. Singh refuted claims that she was attempting to wrap her dupatta around her neck.

Earlier, she was spotted holding a handwritten poster demanding various facilities, including a veterinary hospital in Domchanch, Koderma district, and street lights installation. She identified herself as Kusum Sahu from Domchanch and claimed she walked from Koderma to attend the event.

Ensuring Safety at Public Events

Deputy Inspector General Sunil Bhaskar explained that extensive security measures were in place. The entire area was barricaded to ensure no one could reach the Prime Minister directly. These precautions are standard for events involving high-profile leaders to maintain safety and order.

The incident highlights the challenges faced by organisers in balancing public access with security concerns during large gatherings. It also underscores the lengths individuals may go to make their voices heard by prominent leaders.
