Woman, 2 daughters charred to death in fire

Hajipur (Bihar), Apr 14: A woman and her two minor daughters were charred to death and two others sustained burn injuries in a major fire that razed down 18 houses at Daulatpur Chandi in Vaishali district, police said today.

The fire broke out in a thatched house fatally trapping 35 year-old Munchunia Devi and her daughters Sakshi (14) and Sonali (1) while they were asleep last night, a police official said.

The flame spread to adjoining areas gutting 18 houses in which two villagers sustained burn injuries, he said. The injured were admitted to hospital.
