SP Drama: Akhilesh can't let Amar Singh stay, Mulayam can't let him go
While Mulayam may not acknowledge it but several say that Amar Singh is behind the SP feud.
Bengaluru, Oct 24: Trouble seems to follow Amar Singh wherever he goes. The crisis that has broken out in Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh once again has led to many blaming Amar Singh for the same. On Sunday, scores of party workers vented their anger against Amar Singh.
The decision by Akhilesh Yadav to sack four minister including his uncle Shivpal Yadav clearly sends out a message to Singh. Further sacking Jayaprada from the post of vice chairperson of the UP Film Development Council also shows Akhilesh's anger against those who are close to Singh.

Last month too, when the crisis broke out, Akhilesh had referred to the role of an outsider. However, Shivpal Yadav rejected his nephew's claim and said that there was no outsider in the party.
Will Mulayam back Singh?
While many in the SP have spoke about Singh, Mulayam has not uttered a single word. Can Mulayam continue to remain quiet about Singh despite too much dissent in the party? Akhilesh considers Singh to be a liability. His supporters feel that Singh is acting at the behest of the BJP.

The question is will Mulayam be able to get rid of Singh? Many credit Singh with the image makeover that Mulayam got. It was Singh who took Mulayam to the national stage with his powerful Delhi connections.
Singh also added the glamour factor to the party as he is very often seen with the who's who of Bollywood.
Since the family feud broke out in the party, Singh's name has been dragged into it more than once. Mulayam has, however, not paid any attention to the allegations being made against Singh despite those coming from his son.
In SP, many feel that Singh is pitting Akhilesh against his father and uncle.
It will be a tough choice for Mulayam to make at this juncture. If he continues to back Amar Singh, then the rift could widen further. Mulayam will also have to take into account his brother Shivpal's view. Shivpal is considered to be close to Singh and will have a major say in any decision in this regard.
