'Will Erase From Map, Won’t Exercise Restraint': Army Chief Warns Pakistan

India has issued a stern warning to Pakistan, urging it to stop supporting terrorism or risk losing its geographical presence, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi said on Friday. Speaking at an Army post in Anupgarh, Rajasthan, Gen Dwivedi stated that Pakistan, known for backing terror networks through its deep state, must end state-sponsored terrorism if it wants to remain on the world map.

Gen Dwivedi emphasized that the Indian Armed Forces will not show the same restraint as they did during Operation Sindoor 1.0, signaling a more decisive response this time. "This time we will not maintain the restraint that we had in Operation Sindoor 1.0. This time we will do something that will make Pakistan think whether it wants to retain its place in Geography or not. If Pakistan wants to retain its place in Geography, then it must stop state-sponsored terrorism," he said.

The Army Chief's comments underline India's determination to respond firmly to cross-border terrorism. By referring to Operation Sindoor, he hinted that a second, stronger operation could follow if Pakistan continues to export terror.

Gen Dwivedi's warning also sends a clear geopolitical message: Pakistan's continued involvement in terrorism has consequences, and India is prepared to act decisively to protect its borders and citizens. The statement reinforces that India's patience has limits and that restraint may no longer guide its future military responses if provocations continue.

Speaking from a sensitive border region, Gen Dwivedi stressed that the Indian forces are fully prepared for any situation, highlighting the seriousness of India's stance against terrorism.
