Will cross LoC if required, asserts Indian Army

Northern Army Commander Lt Gen D Anbu on Thursday said that the meetings are taking place and there is hotline present to discuss so in East Ladakh. Lt Gen D Anbu further asserted that if required the Indian Army will even cross Line of Control (LoC). He also said that another Doklam type situation should not be expected.

While speaking to media, Lt Gen D Anbu said the situation on the line of control is under control and we are very firm in dealing with infiltration.

Lt Gen D Anbu said,''Surgical strike was a point we wanted to drive home across that LoC is not a line that cannot be breached.

''When we want to we will be able to breach it (LoC), go across & strike when we need. The subtle message we wanted to convey,'' Lt Gen D Anbu said.

''While a lot of attempts are made (to infiltrate), but most are not successful, there has been a sharp decline. A large number of terrorist camps and launch pads exist across south & north of Pir Panjal, they have not decreased. Terrorists continue to try to infiltrate, we have been foiling their attempts to infiltrate into Kashmir Valley/ Jammu region,'' Lt Gen D Anbu said.
