Wife-swapping, death and divorce: B'luru counsellors rack their brains trying to solve a murky case

, Nov 4: Yet another 'wife-swapping' case is grabbing headlines in Bengaluru.

A couple in the city has approached the family court for divorce after a friend of the husband, with whose wife he had an affair, died of heart attack. A TOI report says that more things came to light when the women's helpline summoned the couple and the wife of the deceased for counseling.

The two couple had a casual meeting initially in the city. Later, the husband of one woman started having an affair with his friend's wife.

The friend, who found this out, approached his friend's wife and the two began dating. Although, everyone knew everything, life went on normally. The report says that both the couples even went on trips abroad together to spend time with their respective lovers.

Things took a turn for the worst when one of the men died. The deceased man's wife now wants her lover and her husband's friend to leave his wife and marry her as they had been having an affair. She was left alone with her two children after her husband's death. Her lover too, expressed desire to marry her, but his wife objected to this. The husband offered to give her all the money and property, but she did not agree.

The man approached family court seeking a divorce claiming that he wanted to marry his friend's wife. The case was transferred to a women's helpline. The helpline officials are now having a hard time, resolving the case. Although they tried talking to all three, individually, none of them are, reportedly, ready for a compromise.
