Why 'Salaar' Teaser Releasing at 5.12 AM on July 6? Netizens Wonder

The makers of Prabhas and KGF Creator Prashanth Neel's much-hyped 'Salaar' on Monday announced that the first teaser from the movie will be out on July 6.

The announcement has left the fans of Prabhas happy, but what has taken them by surprise is the time of its release. The promotional video of the action-packed clip will be out at 5.12 am.

Yes, you heard it right. Although there has been a trend to release teasers, trailers and posters at 12:00 am, this is probably the first time, a promotional material of a big-star film is being released just before dawn.

Many wondered whether the makers might have accidentally mentioned 5.12 am for 5.12 pm. However, Karthik Gowda, executive producer of the movie, clarified with a tweet, "#Salaar Teaser on July 6th at 5:12 AM. Yes 5:12AM - No Confusion 😃"

"Thank you for Reconfirming but strange time though," a netizen thanked Gowda.

"Why Early morning?" a user questioned the makers. Second one asked, "Any specific reason for early morning tym?"

The promotional materials from Hombale Films are often released at an auspicious time of a day. A Twitter user Google to know the significance of its release, but found nothing. "I checked 🧐 the Panchanga. No special significance for #SalaarTeaser to be releasing at 5.12 AM. #PrashanthNeel?" he wrote.

However, many are of the view that the makers are trying to showcase the star power of Prabhas. Hence, it has been decided by the production house to release 'Salaar' teaser at the said time.

The movie, which will be out on September 28, also has Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan in key roles.
