Why no action against him: DMK poll strategist Prashant Kishor asks TN govt on Seeman's hate video

He questioned why Tamil Nadu government has not take action against Seeman.

Prashant Kishor, the poll strategist of the DMK, has questioned the Tamil Nadu government for not taking action against Naam Tamilar Katchi chief Seeman for his hate comments against Hindi speakers.

"All those who used fake videos to incite hate & violence must be dealt with as per the law. But this doesn't absolve those who're openly calling for violence against #Hindi speaking people in #TN. Why no action against likes of @SeemanOfficial for their vitriolic utterances?," he tweeted along with a video in which Seeman is making hate speech against migrant Hindi speakers.

"Hindi-speaking people will hastily pack their stuff and flee from this place. I don't know how many I will beat. They will pack their belongings within a week," Opindia quotes Seeman as saying in the video shared by Kishor.

Before sharing this clip, Kishor had posted a video claiming that the attacks on North Indian migrants were real and the Tamil Nadu government should not ignore it.

On the other hand, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's JD(U) has charged the BJP with spreading "rumours" of attacks on migrant workers in Tamil Nadu with an eye on "electoral gains".

"It has turned out that nothing had happened in Tamil Nadu. And just look at the people who have been booked and arrested for spreading rumours", said the JD(U) chief, referring to cases being lodged against a number of BJP leaders by the DMK government in the southern state.

"So, this is the character of the BJP. Rumour-mongering, and coercion of parties opposed to it, all for electoral gains. But it is making a mistake. People of the country are now conscious enough to see through their designs", said the JD(U) president, whose party snapped ties with the saffron party less than a year ago.

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has alleged the "lies spread" regarding the attacks on migrant workers in the state was a fallout of his recent call for opposition unity to dislodge the ruling BJP at the Centre next year and blamed the saffron party functionaries for doing so.

Many such workers were employed in Tamil Nadu for a long time and never have they faced any issues, he said.

"Some have been preparing fake videos and spreading lies. The BJP functionaries in north India have done this with an agenda. You will understand the conspiracy behind doing so, if you notice that such lies were spread the very next day I highlighted the need for political organisations opposed to the BJP joining hands at the national level," he said.
