Why Is Ex-NCB Officer Sameer Wankhede Trending After 'Jawan' Trailer Release?

The trailer of Shah Rukh Khan's much-awaited 'Jawan' has hit the internet with a bang. In a matter of a few hours, the promotional video from the multilingual flick has amassed over 10 million views.'

However, many are wondering why former NCB officer Sameer Wankhede is trending after the trailer was out. Well, a line in the video has caught the attention of King Khan fans.

Why Is Ex-NCB Officer Sameer Wankhede Trending After Jawan Trailer Release?

Shah Rukh Khan's character mouths a dialogue in the 'Jawan' trailer that says: "Bete ko haath lagane se pahle, baap se baat kar." This is seen as a message by Khan to Sameer Wankhede who had arrested the Bollywood superstar's son Aryan Khan in a drug case.

The case is related to Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, who was arrested in the alleged drug bust case on the Cordelia cruise ship on October 2, 2021, on suspicion of cocaine possession. However, he was cleared of all charges due to lack of sufficient evidence after staying in jail for 25 days.

The ex-NCB officer was accused of asking Rs 25 crore bribe from Shah Rukh Khan.

Netizens Reaction:

"Bete ko hanth lagane se pehle baap se baat kar🔥. Seems like this dialogue was specially written by Shah Rukh Khan for Sameer wankhede.🥵📷," a user wrote on X. Second user stated, "Ek Raja tha... Ek ke baad Ek, jung haarta gaya... bhuka pyasa, ghum raha tha Jungle mein... bahot ghusse mein tha" Dialogues of #JawanTrailer are personal and I think are for #SameerWankhede
