Why Did BJP Serve a Showcause Notice to Haryana Minister Anil Vij?
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has served a show-cause notice to Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij over his public remarks against the state party president and the Chief Minister.

Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli, who issued the notice, stated that Anil Vij's comments came at a crucial time when the party was actively campaigning in a neighboring state. The notice further mentioned that his statements could have negatively impacted the party's image and internal cohesion.
The notice, citing serious violations of party discipline, warned that such remarks went against the BJP's policies and internal code of conduct. The party further accused Vij of acting against its ideology at a crucial time when BJP was actively campaigning for the Delhi elections.
"Your actions not only contradict the party's core ideology but also came at a time when the party was deeply engaged in election campaigning in a neighboring state. As a senior leader and minister, such statements could tarnish the party's image. Despite being fully aware of this, you still made these remarks, which is completely unacceptable," the notice stated.
The letter also clarified that the notice was issued following directions from the party's national president. Anil Vij has been asked to submit a written explanation within three days.
