Why AIADMK won’t be the same party without Amma
Even after the passage of several hours, most of them are in denial that the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, who ruled the state with an iron fist, is no more alive.
Chennai, Dec 6: Our beloved leader, The Iron Lady of India Puratchi Thalaivi Amma, is no more--this is how the AIADMK reacted on Twitter after the demise of the party supremo J Jayalalithaa on Monday night.
The party cadres are heartbroken.
Even after the passage of several hours, most of them are in denial that the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, who ruled the state with an iron fist, is no more alive.
Those who have accepted the fact that their beloved Amma is dead are inconsolable.
"Why did God take back Amma? She was in a good condition till 4 p.m. on Sunday. We all were confident that Amma will come out of hospital," a sobbing CR Saraswathi, spokesperson of AIADMK, told IANS.
"All our prayers have gone waste. It is not the age for her to die," she said, adding "Amma will continue to guide the party".

Guiding

As

It was the former Chief Minister who was the sole decision-making authority in the party.
Rest of the party members is her followers.
Even the just sworn-in Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, who always did what Amma wanted him to do.
So, even after her death, Jayalalithaa has to continue "guiding" the party as Saraswathi has said to continue as the ruling party of the southern state.
