Who Will Be Haryana CM? Who Are The Top 5 Frontrunners
In the intense race for Haryana's next Chief Minister, the battle lines are drawn between prominent candidates from both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress. As election results begin to take shape, several key figures have emerged as potential front-runners for the top position in the state, sparking widespread public debate about who will ultimately lead.

From the Congress camp, former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda stands as the most favored choice, with a significant portion of the electorate backing his return to power. Known for his seasoned leadership, Hooda has captured 30.8% of public support, according to an India Today-C Voter survey. Behind him, Kumari Selja, with her strong appeal in the Dalit community, and Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda are also being considered as viable contenders. The list of Congress front-runners rounds off with Randeep Singh Surjewala and Uday Bhan, both of whom have established themselves as strong players in state politics.
On the BJP side, speculation surrounds Nayab Singh Saini, the current Chief Minister, who could retain his position if the party secures another term. Anil Vij from Ambala Cantt is also seen as a strong contender, further adding to the intrigue of the CM race. With 22.1% of public support, Saini remains the BJP's leading candidate, though he trails behind Bhupinder Singh Hooda in overall preference.
As the electorate waits in anticipation, the India Today survey highlights a noticeable preference for experience and familiarity, particularly favoring Bhupinder Singh Hooda over his rivals. While the BJP remains in strong contention, the public's favor appears to be tipping towards Congress leadership, making this one of the most keenly observed races in recent Haryana history.
