Who tweets for Rahul Gandhi? Pidi has an answer for you

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has been in news for a sudden rise in his retweets and number of followers. Speculations have rife on whether the Gandhi scion posts his tweets himself, or whether it is done by someone else.

On Sunday, Twitter users were in for a surprise, when they found an adorable doggie owing up that it was he who posted tweets for Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

Taking to the micro-blogging site, Rahul Gandhi posted a video, which features a puppy performing various tricks.

Along with the video, Rahul also tweeted this: "People have been asking who tweets for this guy..I'm coming clean..it's me..Pidi..I'm way B-) than him. Look what I can do with a tweet..oops..treat! (sic)" said the account, with a video of Pidi doing a neat trick with a treat.

Gandhi has been mixing humour and sarcasm more often to pack a new punch in his social media campaigns.

Reports say Gandhi gained more than one million followers between July and September.

People in recent past retweeted the Gandhi scion more than Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the top two Indian politicians on Twitter.
