Who Is MTech Baba? From Corporate Success To Naga Sadhu
A Corporate Leader's Rise to the Top
Born into a Telugu Brahmin family in South India, Digambar Krishna Giri, better known as MTech Baba, earned his MTech degree from Karnataka University. His education paved the way for a thriving career in the corporate world, where he worked for renowned companies. By the peak of his professional journey, he managed a team of over 400 people and earned a handsome income, comfortably living in the world of wealth and success.
The Turning Point In MTech Baba: Wealth to Unrest
Despite his professional triumphs, MTech Baba began to feel a sense of unease. He realized that wealth, though fulfilling on the surface, was creating unhealthy habits and inner turmoil. This realization led him to reflect on the true purpose of life and what truly brought peace and contentment, as reported by News9Live.
In 2010, he took the bold decision to retire from his high-flying corporate job, seeking a simpler and more meaningful existence. The stress of corporate life and the pursuit of material wealth no longer seemed worthwhile. His decision to embrace a spiritual path was motivated by a desire to reconnect with inner peace and live a life of self-realization.
The Path to Asceticism: Becoming a Naga Sadhu
MTech Baba's journey toward spirituality took a significant step in 2019 when he became a Naga Sadhu. Initially, he reached out to several Akharas, expressing his desire to join their ranks, but his emails went unanswered. Undeterred by this, he traveled to Haridwar, where he renounced all his material possessions by immersing them in the holy Ganges. For ten days, he lived the life of a beggar, dressed in a monk's attire, embracing humility and simplicity.
Eventually , MTech Baba was initiated into the Niranjani Akhara by Mahant Shri Ram Ratan Giri Maharaj, marking the beginning of his new life as a Naga Sadhu. Despite facing numerous challenges, he fully embraced the ascetic lifestyle and began his journey in search of spiritual enlightenment, according to the AajTak interview.
In the aftermath of a devastating fire in Almora, he relocated to a small village in Uttarkashi, continuing his life as a sadhu. This transition further deepened his commitment to spiritual practice.
