In a shocking incident, well-known actor and politician Govinda suffered a bullet injury when his licensed pistol accidentally discharged as he was handling it at his residence in Juhu. The 62-year-old actor, known for his iconic roles in films like "Radha Kalyanam" and "Crazy Monkey," required urgent surgical intervention but is now in stable condition and on the mend.

The incident has brought to light that Govinda is among several Bollywood figures who possess guns for personal security. This practice is not uncommon in the industry, with several celebrities having resorted to arming themselves for various reasons.

Salman Khan, another major figure in Indian cinema, secured a personal licensed gun after his father, Salim Khan, was threatened with death. Amitabh Bachchan, a legendary figure in Indian cinema, also decided to arm himself following the harrowing 26/11 Mumbai attacks. He once shared in his blog that he kept a licensed 32 revolver under his pillow as a measure of personal security.

Sunny Deol, another prominent actor, is known to possess a licensed revolver and has even integrated his affinity for firearms into his professional life, as seen in his use of a personal pistol in the film "Singh Saab The Great."
