Where is Nirav Modi? US or has he moved to Switzerland

Where is Nirav Modi? New Delhi would now move a request to the United States to help track Modi who is wanted in the PNB scam.

Reports surfaced that Modi could be staying at the JW Marriott Essex House Aparments in Manhattan, New York City. The established protocol would be followed, said an officer in New Delhi.

The CBI will get in touch with authorities in the US to get more details on the whereabouts of Modi, sources also confirmed to OneIndia. On asked when the request would be moved, the source said that the process was underway. The CBI and ED are conducting investigation. Once the formalities are complete, the request would be moved, the officer also noted.

Modi is alleged to have fled India on January 1. His wife Ami Modi, an American citizen is said to have followed him on January 6. The family's Indian passports were suspended by India as a result of which they would be pinned down to one country.

Sources in Delhi say that his exact location is unclear for now. He could be in the US and we have to ascertain that. Reports of him moving to Switzerland too have surfaced and the Indian authorities would check this aspect as well.
